Ozark Backpacker Adventures
A collection of stories from friends
Who are we?
Ozark Backpacker Adventures is a collection of journeys shared by friends and family.  We have been travelling and backpacking together since 2015.  While we primarily traverse the Ozarks, we have been to Zion National Park in Utah and the Black Hills in South Dakota as well.  It is our sincere desire that our list will grow in the coming years.  This website serves to chronical our adventures so we can share them with friends, family, and anyone who might be interested.
The Buffalo National River
The Buffalo National River is home territory for us.  Since 2015 members of our group we have spent approximately 120 nights in or around the Buffalo River.

Established in 1972, Buffalo National River flows freely for 135 miles and is one of the few remaining undammed rivers in the lower 48 states. Once you arrive, prepare to journey from running rapids to quiet pools while surrounded by massive bluffs as you cruise through the Ozark Mountains down to the White River.

Winter time + Hammocks
Perhaps what sets us aside is our unusual choice of time and methods for spending time in the great outdoors.  Our group backpacks exclusively in the winter time (Oct - Apr) and we normally do so swinging above the ground in hammocks.
